Launched on Tuesday 15th February 2022 which included the reveal of the new Victoria Street mural, the aim of VICTORIA LANE was to create a welcoming, vibrant, all-inclusive outdoor popup venue igniting spirit and inviting the community to be part of our thriving artistic space.
Alongside our mainstage Fringe program, VICTORIA LANE provided free entertainment for the local community and Fringe goers alike by showcasing a diverse mix of over 40 emerging and professional artists across visual and performing arts, comedy, and music.
“Having mini shows between booked shows was a great way to highlight emerging and professional artists and created an exciting Fringe buzz in our venue”
Creative Producer - Simone Avramidis
Throughout the fringe, performances in the laneway were programmed to support the activity in the venue and entertained our community by providing a creative space where people could relax and linger a little longer!
Throughout the fringe we hosting an incredible 95 shows supporting 150 artists with an audience of almost 4000 people!
We had some incredible feedback on the vibrancy and activation of the space with many local community members thanking our staff and volunteers for creating ‘a welcoming outdoor entertainment space that feels like home.’
What's Next for Victoria Lane?
We would like to take this opportunity to thank The Adelaide Fringe and The City of Unley for their generous sponsorship support and following such an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from artists, audiences, and our local community, we would love for VICTORIA LANE to be an annual event. We would also like to sincerely thank our team of amazing volunteers who made this space possible.
